As a Mental health nurse have I seen that suicide can be preventable, often starting with the simple act of any of us asking how someone is, and daring to care about them. It's better to ask the person directly if they have suicidal thoughts, better than saying 'You're not going to do anything stupid aare you..?' or choosing not to get involved at all.

Showing you care and then asking them directly can help the person to open up.
Help me to raise money on my birthday to promote short education on how help someone who may be suicidal and save unnecessary loss of more lives.
