Suicide is something we have to take more seriously and dont see it as taboo talking about it. The reason why I choose to raise money for Sucide Zero is for two specific reasons, first because as I mentioned we need to see mental health issues more serious and put more knowledge into people about and secondly because I have been on that side when you hear that your loved one has commited suicide.

In may of 2016 I lost my father due to his mental health issues. I remember the day and I will probably never forget it. I remember waking up to go to school just like any other day really, it was a really nice day and I put on some light clothes and made my way to school very tired because I had stayed up way to late playing games, as usual. I got to school and had a really amazing day and absolutely smashed a presentation I had prepared for. I remember my teacher pulling me aside after class and saying that it was a very good presentation and I felt very happy, but it was about to change very quick. I came home as happy as ever really and is met by my grandmother and she says that I have to come and sit down. I immidiatly realise something is wrong but what they were about to tell me was something I could not even imagine in my wildest dreams. My dad was dead, he had killed himself. It went from one of my best days, to one of my worst.

Time passed by and I started feeling more and more depressed, sad and lonely. That was when I really started looking into suicide and why people actually do it, like why someone would go to that point where they would not wanna live anymore. I learnt so many things and I started talking about these things among friends and family and really tried to make people around me understand that we need to talk about our mental health and not just shy away. Because I had been there and I just dont want anyone to experience that ever. That is why I emphazise mental health so much in my stream, that is why I always ask how you are doing, that is why I always want people around me to know that you are allowed to be the real you and talk about you. Because if we dont talk about it it will forever stay taboo.

So why do I choose to support Suicide Zeros work? I dont want anyone to experience what I experienced and what I had to go through. With your money we can hopefully make that a reality where the suicide numbers will be zero. The money you will donate will be used to raise the awareness of suicide, identify flaws in society and to increase the general knowledge about suicide and mental health issues. We can not do everything by ourselves but togheter we can do everything. The smallest donation can be the difference between life and death. You learning more about suicide and mental illness can also make you help others and prevent suicide. Speak up and dont shy away from conversations like I did before my dad passed away. Dont just ''man up'' like I was told to do. Speak out if you are feeling bad and speak up for people that are in that seat. As I said before, I really do believe that TOGHETER we can do everything. I want everyone to be able to live life and ,more importantly, love life.
