Move with SSE 2026 - North Pole to the Equator
Every November, the days become darker, colder, and shorter. For many people, it can also be a challenging time for wellbeing and mental health. At the same time, around 1,500 people die by suicide every year in Sweden, affecting thousands of family members, friends, colleagues, and classmates.
That is why we created Move with SSE for Suicide Zero.
Move with SSE for Suicide Zero brings together students, faculty, and staff across the SSE community around a shared goal: to move more, support mental wellbeing, and raise money for Suicide Zero.
Last year, nearly 200 participants came together and collectively moved 6,510 kilometres, while raising 41,500 SEK for Suicide Zero's vital work.
This year, we want to go even further.
Our goal is to collectively move 10,000 kilometres during November. Symbolically, that is roughly the distance from the North Pole to the Equator. From darkness to light. From cold to warmth. A journey that reflects both the season we are entering and the importance of supporting mental wellbeing.
The funds raised through this campaign go directly to Suicide Zero's work to prevent suicide through awareness, education, advocacy, and long-term efforts to improve mental health in society.
If you are part of the SSE community, we hope you will join the challenge and help us reach 10,000 kilometres together.
If you are not participating in the challenge yourself, you can still make a difference by supporting the fundraiser and helping us spread the message. Every donation contributes to Suicide Zero's important work.
Together, we can turn movement into awareness, community, and hope.
Join us as we move from the Arctic darkness toward the Equator, one kilometre at a time.
